So what if it ended up being a two year vacation? So what? Could have been worse. It might have been longer.
What have I been up to, you ask? Oh – this and that, I guess… but now the family is grown. Everyone appears to be relatively happy and healthy. Life is kind of autopilot-ish for the time being. (Yes, not a word. I know. I invent them frequently. You’re invited to do so as well.) I’m suddenly thinking, “What now? What should I do?”
Those who don’t know me will learn soon enough that I need a little background buzz to keep me happy…not out and out chaos, mind you. I just can’t accommodate complete quiet. I’ve got to find a problem to fix – something.
So here we are, back to where we started. Escaping Utopia. Quasi-ambiguous title, but what’s it mean?
Utopia certainly means a lot of different things to a lot of different people, but for this exercise in blogging, our posts will include discussions of politics, culture, faith issues and the economy. Our escape will be from the prison of conformity. Our sanctuary will be the garden of uncertainty.
I look forward to exploring the possibilities with you.
